Der erste Halt ist der Burana-Turm, ein antikes Minarett 12 km von der Stadt Tokmok entfernt. Er steht auf dem Gel\u00e4nde von Balasagun, einer Stadt von strategischer Bedeutung an der Gro\u00dfen Seidenstra\u00dfe. Ein kleines Museum zeigt Funde der Ausgrabungen, und neben dem Turm befindet sich eine Sammlung von Balbals \u2013 alten turkst\u00e4mmigen Grabsteinen.   \n\nDann geht es weiter zum Issyk-Kul. Er ist tektonischen Ursprungs und nach dem Titicacasee in S\u00fcdamerika der zweitgr\u00f6\u00dfte Hochgebirgssee der Welt: 182 km lang, 58 km breit und bis zu 668 m tief, mit Wassertemperaturen von 20\u201323 \u00b0C im Sommer. Genie\u00dfen Sie die wechselnden Landschaften auf dem Weg.  \n\nIn Cholpon-Ata besuchen wir die ber\u00fchmte Freiluft-Petroglyphenst\u00e4tte und fahren dann weiter am See entlang nach Karakol, mit einem kurzen Stopp am Ufer zum Baden. In der Stadt sehen Sie die Dunganen-Moschee, erbaut im Stil einer chinesischen Pagode und bis heute in Gebrauch, sowie die orthodoxe Dreifaltigkeitskirche, die vollst\u00e4ndig aus Holz und ohne einen einzigen Nagel erbaut wurde. Ihre Ikonostase beherbergt die ber\u00fchmte Tikhvin-Ikone der Gottesmutter, gemalt im Jahr 1897.   \n\nNach der Stadtbesichtigung fahren wir am S\u00fcdufer des Issyk-Kul entlang. Der erste Halt ist die Jeti-Oguz-Schlucht f\u00fcr eine kurze Wanderung. Jeti-Oguz bedeutet auf Kirgisisch \u201eSieben Stiere\u201c. Im Gegensatz zur M\u00e4rchenschlucht sind die Berge dieser malerischen Schlucht mit Tien-Schan-Fichten bewachsen. Am Eingang sehen Sie den ber\u00fchmten Felsen des Gebrochenen Herzens, und ein Spaziergang zum Aussichtspunkt offenbart die Felsen der Sieben Stiere \u2013 Ihr Reiseleiter erz\u00e4hlt Ihnen die Legende hinter dem Namen. Naryn ist eine lang gestreckte, schmale Stadt am Fluss Naryn, der Hauptquelle des Syr Darja und einem der gr\u00f6\u00dften Fl\u00fcsse Kirgisistans und Zentralasiens. Etwa 90 % der Bev\u00f6lkerung sind Kirgisen \u2013 mehr als in jeder anderen Stadt des Landes. Wir machen einen kurzen Halt, um die Zentrale Blaue Moschee und den kleinen zentralen Platz zu besichtigen.   \n\nDann fahren wir weiter s\u00fcdw\u00e4rts in Richtung chinesischer Grenze, biegen in die Kara-Koyun-Schlucht ein und erreichen das Jurtencamp. Die Karawanserei Tash Rabat liegt auf etwa 3.200 m \u00fcber dem Meeresspiegel, nicht weit vom Grenz\u00fcbergang Torugart nach China entfernt. Ihr Ursprung ist ein R\u00e4tsel, doch sie k\u00f6nnte im 10. Jahrhundert erbaut worden sein. Manche Forscher vermuten ein nestorianisches Kloster, andere einen Rastplatz f\u00fcr Handelskarawanen oder einen Verteidigungsposten \u2013 h\u00f6chstwahrscheinlich diente sie in verschiedenen Epochen unterschiedlichen Zwecken.   \n\nAbendessen und \u00dcbernachtung im Jurtencamp. Nach dem Ausflug fahren wir zur\u00fcck nach Naryn und weiter zum Song-Kol-See \u00fcber den Moldo-Ashuu-Pass, Ankunft am Nachmittag. \n\nDer Hochgebirgssee Song-Kol liegt im Tien-Schan auf 3.016 m. Im Sommer gelten seine Ufer als die beste Jailoo (Sommerweide) Kirgisistans, wo Hirten aus Kochkor, Naryn und der Jumgal-Region ihr Vieh weiden lassen. Die Stra\u00dfe zum See \u00fcberquert windige Bergp\u00e4sse, die im Himmel zu verschwinden scheinen, und der Name Song-Kol wird mit \u201eletzter See\u201c \u00fcbersetzt.  \n\nUnterkunft in einem komfortablen lokalen Jurtencamp, wo Sie sich wie ein echter Nomade f\u00fchlen und die kirgisische Kultur kennenlernen k\u00f6nnen.
