El antiguo c\u00f3digo hac\u00eda referencia al antiguo nombre de Bishkek, que era Frunze. La nueva designaci\u00f3n ajusta m\u00e1s la identidad del aeropuerto al nombre actual de la capital kirgu\u00eds.
