El Parlamento del pa\u00eds aprob\u00f3 la ley el 10 de septiembre de 2025, y el presidente Sadyr Japarov la firm\u00f3 una semana despu\u00e9s.   <\/p><p>Seg\u00fan la legislaci\u00f3n, el cambio de nombre pretende reforzar la identidad nacional honrando <strong>a Manas<\/strong>, el legendario h\u00e9roe popular que defendi\u00f3 al pueblo kirgu\u00eds. La ley entrar\u00e1 en vigor diez d\u00edas despu\u00e9s de su publicaci\u00f3n oficial.   <\/p><p>Al parecer, la iniciativa parti\u00f3 de los residentes locales y los dirigentes de la ciudad, y el coste estimado es de unos <strong>15 millones de soms kirguisos<\/strong>, que se sufragar\u00e1n con cargo al presupuesto de la ciudad.
