Il est donc difficile d&rsquo;imaginer que le chamanisme nomade, le zoroastrisme persan et le bouddhisme indien \u00e9taient les principales croyances de la r\u00e9gion dans le pass\u00e9. On en trouve des signes dans toute l&rsquo;Asie centrale si l&rsquo;on regarde aux bons endroits. Les vestiges arch\u00e9ologiques de Kara Tepe et Fayaz Tepe, pr\u00e8s de Termez, dans le sud de l&rsquo;Ouzb\u00e9kistan, sont l&rsquo;un des meilleurs endroits pour se plonger dans l&rsquo;\u00e9poque o\u00f9 le bouddhisme s&rsquo;est \u00e9panoui dans la r\u00e9gion.    <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-b8825bf elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"b8825bf\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-a25adbd\" data-id=\"a25adbd\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-42d2b8b elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"42d2b8b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Stupa bouddhiste de Zurmala<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1a9971d elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"1a9971d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>La tour de Zurmala est une structure en briques de 16 m\u00e8tres de haut datant du Ier ou IIe si\u00e8cle apr\u00e8s J.-C. Elle est peut-\u00eatre le plus ancien b\u00e2timent encore debout en Ouzb\u00e9kistan. C&rsquo;est le seul vestige d&rsquo;un vaste stupa bouddhiste (monticule contenant des reliques) qui, \u00e0 l&rsquo;origine, aurait \u00e9t\u00e9 rev\u00eatu de pierre et richement d\u00e9cor\u00e9. La tour de Zuermala est le premier stupa bouddhiste que l&rsquo;on rencontre sur la route lorsque l&rsquo;on quitte la ville moderne de Termez.  <\/p><p>La tour a beaucoup souffert de temps en temps, mais elle fait toujours bonne impression. Elle est constitu\u00e9e de briques carr\u00e9es brutes d&rsquo;environ 33 centim\u00e8tres de c\u00f4t\u00e9. Toutes les briques portent une marque distinctive sous la forme d&rsquo;une ligne et de deux trous. Ces briques n&rsquo;ont \u00e9t\u00e9 utilis\u00e9es en Bactriane qu&rsquo;\u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9poque kouchane, au d\u00e9but du IIIe si\u00e8cle apr\u00e8s J.-C. Elles ont ensuite \u00e9t\u00e9 remplac\u00e9es par des briques rectangulaires. Plus tard, elles ont \u00e9t\u00e9 remplac\u00e9es par des briques rectangulaires. Les scientifiques estiment que pr\u00e8s de 1 200 000 de ces briques ont \u00e9t\u00e9 n\u00e9cessaires pour \u00e9riger le stupa. Le bloc massif de briques d&rsquo;adobe comporte une petite chambre des reliques dans sa partie sup\u00e9rieure.        <span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">L&rsquo;\u00e9dification de Zurmala est li\u00e9e au Grand Kushan, et son \u00e9chelle est bien plus grande que celle du mortier de Fayaztepa. Le complexe bouddhiste de Kara Tepe est unique en Asie centrale. Il s&rsquo;agit non seulement du seul complexe de grottes bouddhiques creus\u00e9es dans la roche de la r\u00e9gion, et donc du principal lien entre les sites afghans de Haibak et de Bamiyan et les sites de l&rsquo;autre rive de l&rsquo;Amou-Daria, mais aussi du seul monast\u00e8re situ\u00e9 derri\u00e8re une cl\u00f4ture \u00e9lectrifi\u00e9e dans un no man&rsquo;s land international, ce qui le rend en fait interdit aux touristes. Les fouilles ont r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 une s\u00e9rie de cellules de moines, deux stupas et des exemples d&rsquo;\u00e9critures Brahmi et Kharoshthi influenc\u00e9es par l&rsquo;Inde.   <\/p><p style=\"font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400;\">Du c\u00f4t\u00e9 sud, au point le plus \u00e9lev\u00e9, on peut clairement voir la citadelle, entour\u00e9e de murs et les ruines de l&rsquo;ancienne ville. Les premi\u00e8res fouilles arch\u00e9ologiques de Kara-Tepa ont eu lieu en 1936. Elles ont prouv\u00e9 que des couches de l\u0153ss vieilles de plusieurs si\u00e8cles cachaient un complexe de temples avec un monast\u00e8re troglodyte, fond\u00e9 par des moines bouddhistes \u00e0 la fin du Ier si\u00e8cle. Trois niveaux de cellules creus\u00e9es dans la roche pour les moines ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9couverts et ont r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 le plan visible des anciennes structures. Des marches en pierre vieilles de deux mill\u00e9naires descendent sous la vo\u00fbte en terre dont le diam\u00e8tre est de 5 m\u00e8tres. Dans les chambres souterraines, les arch\u00e9ologues ont trouv\u00e9 des fragments de statues de Bouddha et de Bodhisattvas, des statuettes de dragons et d&rsquo;un lion ail\u00e9, ainsi que des peintures murales avec l&rsquo;une des plus anciennes images au monde de Bouddha entour\u00e9 de moines. Sur les m\u00eames murs, on trouve les portraits des donateurs, qui \u00e9taient suffisamment riches pour commander la construction du temple. Des lampes en c\u00e9ramique, des coffrets-reliquaires, des pi\u00e8ces de monnaie de l&rsquo;\u00e9poque de Kanishka Ier et des souverains sassanides ont \u00e9t\u00e9 trouv\u00e9s \u00e0 l&rsquo;int\u00e9rieur des cellules. Le complexe de Kara-Tepa comportait \u00e9galement un vihara (\u00ab\u00a0demeure\u00a0\u00bb en sanskrit) - un dortoir, o\u00f9 les p\u00e8lerins pouvaient s&rsquo;abriter. Les murs de ce dortoir portent un graffiti repr\u00e9sentant un stupa bouddhiste.         <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-b139e23 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"b139e23\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-3f0ca20\" data-id=\"3f0ca20\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ca4ae94 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"ca4ae94\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Monast\u00e8re bouddhiste de Fayaz Tepe<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-6242b1f elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"6242b1f\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-98d4da6\" data-id=\"98d4da6\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1c8c72c elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"1c8c72c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p style=\"font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">Fayaztepa est un autre complexe religieux bouddhiste d\u00e9couvert en 1963 par un arch\u00e9ologue de Tashkent. Ce monument architectural est situ\u00e9 \u00e0 un kilom\u00e8tre de la ville d&rsquo;Old Termez. Le complexe a \u00e9t\u00e9 nomm\u00e9 en l&rsquo;honneur de R.F. Fayazov, qui \u00e9tait le directeur du mus\u00e9e local des traditions locales et qui a fait de grands efforts pour \u00e9tudier ce lieu historique. Fayaz Tepe contient les vestiges arch\u00e9ologiques d&rsquo;un temple et d&rsquo;un monast\u00e8re bouddhiste vieux de deux mill\u00e9naires.   &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">Fayaztepa s&rsquo;\u00e9tend sur 1 500 m\u00e8tres carr\u00e9s. Le complexe comprend le temple Vihara, qui se dresse au centre, ainsi qu&rsquo;un monast\u00e8re et de nombreux b\u00e2timents. Au total, les arch\u00e9ologues ont r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 d\u00e9couvrir 19 pi\u00e8ces. L&rsquo;entr\u00e9e du sanctuaire \u00e9tait orn\u00e9e d&rsquo;une \u00e9norme t\u00eate de Bouddha entour\u00e9e d&rsquo;un halo lumineux. Pr\u00e8s de la t\u00eate se trouvaient diverses figures d&rsquo;autres personnes ayant d\u00e9cid\u00e9 d&rsquo;\u00e9clairer leur conscience et de devenir des bouddhas. Il y avait \u00e9galement des statues de rois qui v\u00e9n\u00e9raient Bouddha et le glorifiaient.     &nbsp;<span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">D&rsquo;apr\u00e8s les r\u00e9sultats des fouilles effectu\u00e9es \u00e0 la fin du 1er si\u00e8cle, un syst\u00e8me d&rsquo;approvisionnement en eau a \u00e9t\u00e9 mis en place, qui prenait l&rsquo;eau du fleuve Amu Darya. Les bases destin\u00e9es \u00e0 l&rsquo;habitat et aux besoins domestiques \u00e9taient d&rsquo;une taille remarquable.
