En 1999, elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 incluse dans la liste des <a href=\"https:\/\/whc.unesco.org\/en\/tentativelists\/1383\/\">candidats tadjiks aux sites du patrimoine mondial de l&rsquo;UNESCO<\/a>.  La forteresse de Hulbuk a une longue histoire et est un symbole de l&rsquo;histoire de la civilisation de la nation tadjike. La forteresse de Hulbuk se trouve \u00e0 30 km au sud-ouest de <a href=\"https:\/\/central-asia.guide\/fr\/tadjikistan\/destinations-au-tadjikistan\/kulob\/\">Kulob<\/a>, dans la petite ville de Kurbon Shahid.  <\/p><p>Les murs de la forteresse ont \u00e9t\u00e9 reconstruits \u00e0 l&rsquo;occasion du 2700e anniversaire de la fondation suppos\u00e9e de Kulob. La reconstruction est un mod\u00e8le de la forteresse qui montre comment elle \u00e9tait suppos\u00e9e \u00eatre auparavant, mais personne ne sait exactement comment elle \u00e9tait. Ses fronti\u00e8res \u00e9taient initialement d\u00e9termin\u00e9es par les fleuves <a href=\"https:\/\/central-asia.guide\/fr\/central-asia-guide\/amu-darya\/\">Amu Darya<\/a> et Vakhsh, mais au Xe si\u00e8cle, les souverains cherchaient des alliances jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 Balkh en Afghanistan.   <\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">Plusieurs villes c\u00e9l\u00e8bres du royaume ont \u00e9t\u00e9 identifi\u00e9es, mais le centre du pouvoir r\u00e9gional \u00e9tait Hulbek ou Khulbuk. Khuttal a atteint l&rsquo;apog\u00e9e de sa puissance entre le IXe et le XIe si\u00e8cle, \u00e9poque \u00e0 laquelle elle \u00e9tait la quatri\u00e8me ville d&rsquo;Asie centrale. Khuttal devint un \u00c9tat tampon et fut pill\u00e9 des deux c\u00f4t\u00e9s, mais surtout par les Karakhanides. Hulbek fut ravag\u00e9 et ne s&rsquo;en remit jamais.    <\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Hulbuk a prosp\u00e9r\u00e9 gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 sa position strat\u00e9gique, aux terres fertiles qui l&rsquo;entourent et aux gisements d&rsquo;or, de cuivre et de sel.  <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400;\">Du IXe au XIIe si\u00e8cle, c&rsquo;\u00e9tait l&rsquo;une des plus grandes villes d&rsquo;Asie centrale. Elle gardait l&rsquo;entr\u00e9e ouest de la route du Pamir et les mines de sel voisines de Khoja Mumin. \u00c0 l&rsquo;int\u00e9rieur de la forteresse, deux palais ont \u00e9t\u00e9 construits, le palais inf\u00e9rieur aux IXe et Xe si\u00e8cles et le palais sup\u00e9rieur aux XIe et XIIe si\u00e8cles, mais la citadelle s&rsquo;est effondr\u00e9e en m\u00eame temps que le royaume.    <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400; text-align: start;\">Enfin, comme tout le reste de l&rsquo;Asie centrale, Hulbuk a \u00e9t\u00e9 envahi par les Mongols et les tribus turques. Il n&rsquo;est actuellement pas possible d&rsquo;entrer dans la citadelle restaur\u00e9e car elle est occup\u00e9e par des travaux d&rsquo;excavation et de restauration (situation 2024).
