Le deuxi\u00e8me grand fleuve d&rsquo;Asie centrale est l&rsquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/central-asia.guide\/fr\/central-asia-guide\/amu-darya\/\">Amu Darya<\/a>, dont le trac\u00e9 est plus m\u00e9ridional, mais les eaux des deux fleuves atteignent finalement la m\u00eame destination, la <a href=\"https:\/\/central-asia.guide\/fr\/central-asia-guide\/mer-daral\/\">mer d&rsquo;Aral<\/a>. Le Syr Darya alimente la partie septentrionale de la mer d&rsquo;Aral, qui est s\u00e9par\u00e9e par un barrage de la partie m\u00e9ridionale du lac, plus grande et largement r\u00e9duite. Sur son chemin, le Syr-Daria irrigue les r\u00e9gions les plus fertiles d&rsquo;Asie centrale et traverse des villes comme <a href=\"https:\/\/central-asia.guide\/fr\/ouzbekistan\/destinations-en-ouzbekistan\/kokand\/\">Kokand<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/central-asia.guide\/fr\/tadjikistan\/destinations-au-tadjikistan\/khujand\/\">Khujand<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/central-asia.guide\/kazakhstan\/destinations-kz\/kyzylorda\/\">Kyzylorda<\/a> et <a href=\"https:\/\/central-asia.guide\/kazakhstan\/destinations-kz\/turkistan\/\">Turkestan<\/a>.   <\/p><p>Le fleuve prend sa source dans les montagnes Tian Shan du Kirghizistan et de l&rsquo;Ouzb\u00e9kistan. La plus grande partie de l&rsquo;eau provient de la rivi\u00e8re Naryn au Kirghizistan, accompagn\u00e9e par les eaux de la Kara Darya. Ces deux cours d&rsquo;eau confluent dans la vall\u00e9e de Fergana, pr\u00e8s de <a href=\"https:\/\/central-asia.guide\/uzbekistan\/destinations-uz\/namangan\/\">Namangan<\/a>. Le Syr Darya marque \u00e9galement la fronti\u00e8re nord du d\u00e9sert de <a href=\"https:\/\/central-asia.guide\/fr\/destinations-au-turkmenistan\/desert-de-kyzylkum\/\">Kyzyl Kum<\/a> (sables rouges).     <\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400;\">Dans le pass\u00e9, le Syr-Daria \u00e9tait appel\u00e9 Jaxartes et ce nom lui a probablement \u00e9t\u00e9 donn\u00e9 par Alexandre le Grand qui a combattu les tribus locales sur les rives du fleuve. Il a \u00e9galement fond\u00e9 l&rsquo;Alexandrie la plus \u00e9loign\u00e9e de la rive du Syr-Daria, une ville qui s&rsquo;appelle aujourd&rsquo;hui Khujand. Les ruines de la citadelle d&rsquo;Alexandre sont encore visibles dans le centre de la ville qui est consid\u00e9r\u00e9e aujourd&rsquo;hui comme la \u00ab\u00a0capitale du nord du Tadjikistan\u00a0\u00bb.  <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section
