Cette route de 433 kilom\u00e8tres est l'un des plus grands projets d'infrastructure du pays et r\u00e9duit consid\u00e9rablement le temps de voyage entre le nord et le sud du Kirghizistan, qui passe d'environ 13 heures \u00e0 environ<strong> 6 heures<\/strong> dans des conditions normales. L'autoroute comprend des travaux d'ing\u00e9nierie majeurs tels que le tunnel de Kok-Art, le plus long tunnel routier du pays.  <br><br>La route n'est actuellement ouverte que pendant les mois d'\u00e9t\u00e9 et d'automne, pendant que les travaux se poursuivent. Elle devrait \u00eatre ouverte toute l'ann\u00e9e d'ici 2028, apr\u00e8s l'ach\u00e8vement de structures de protection suppl\u00e9mentaires, telles que des galeries d'avalanche et des ponts. Malgr\u00e9 l'ouverture de la route, les autorit\u00e9s recommandent la prudence, car certains tron\u00e7ons montagneux - en particulier autour de Kazarman - peuvent encore \u00eatre affect\u00e9s par des chutes de pierres et des perturbations li\u00e9es aux conditions m\u00e9t\u00e9orologiques.
