Il secondo grande fiume dell&#8217;Asia centrale \u00e8 l&#8217;<a href=\"https:\/\/central-asia.guide\/central-asia-guide\/amu-darya\/\">Amu Darya<\/a>, che ha un percorso pi\u00f9 meridionale, ma le acque di entrambi raggiungono infine la stessa destinazione, il <a href=\"https:\/\/central-asia.guide\/it\/guida-allasia-centrale\/mare-di-aral\/\">Mare d&#8217;Aral<\/a>. Il Syr Darya alimenta il Mare d&#8217;Aral settentrionale, separato da una diga dalla parte meridionale del lago, pi\u00f9 grande e in gran parte ridotta. Durante il suo percorso, il Syr Darya irriga le regioni pi\u00f9 fertili dell&#8217;Asia centrale e passa per citt\u00e0 come <a href=\"https:\/\/central-asia.guide\/uzbekistan\/destinations-uz\/kokand\/\">Kokand<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/central-asia.guide\/tajikistan\/destinations-tj\/khujand\/\">Khujand<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/central-asia.guide\/kazakhstan\/destinations-kz\/kyzylorda\/\">Kyzylorda<\/a> e <a href=\"https:\/\/central-asia.guide\/kazakhstan\/destinations-kz\/turkistan\/\">Turkestan<\/a>.   <\/p><p>Il fiume ha origine dalle montagne Tian Shan del Kirghizistan e dell&#8217;Uzbekistan. La maggior parte dell&#8217;acqua proviene dal fiume Naryn in Kirghizistan, accompagnato dalle acque del Kara Darya. Questi due fiumi confluiscono nella valle di Fergana, vicino a <a href=\"https:\/\/central-asia.guide\/uzbekistan\/destinations-uz\/namangan\/\">Namangan<\/a>. Il Syr Darya segna anche il confine settentrionale del deserto di <a href=\"https:\/\/central-asia.guide\/it\/destinazioni-del-turkmenistan\/deserto-del-kyzylkum\/\">Kyzyl Kum<\/a> (sabbie rosse).     <\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400;\">In passato, il Syr Darya era chiamato Jaxartes e il nome fu dato molto probabilmente da Alessandro Magno che combatt\u00e9 le trib\u00f9 locali sulle rive del fiume. Egli fond\u00f2 anche la pi\u00f9 lontana Alessandria d&#8217;Egitto vicino alla riva del Syr Darya, una citt\u00e0 che oggi si chiama Khujand. Le rovine della cittadella di Alessandro sono ancora visibili nel centro della citt\u00e0 che oggi \u00e8 considerata la &#8220;capitale settentrionale del Tagikistan&#8221;.  <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element
