This majestic and notable building serves as a reminder of the last ruler of the Kokand Khanate, Khudoyar.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400; text-align: center;\">This Palace is also known as a\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Kokand Urda and carries the\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; text-align: center;\">nickname the \u201cPearl of Kokand\u201d, and for sure is a palace befitting a glorious ruler.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; text-align: center;\">This truly impressive and luxurious structure is also recognized by <a href=\"https:\/\/whc.unesco.org\/en\/tentativelists\/5291\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">UNESCO<\/a>. It is located at the very center of Kokand, inside an Uzbek style green park. The palace is open for visitors and you can visit most of the remaining palace area and the museum inside it.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-216d78f elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"216d78f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Khudayar Khan<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-fc87dc9 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"fc87dc9\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e956655 e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"e956655\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-13e17c0 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"13e17c0\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">According to historical records, 29 khans reigned in Kokand within 150 years, but the most famous among them was the last khan, called Khudayar-Khan.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">He was the most prominent ruler of Kokand in 1845 at the age of 12, and lost the seat several times but won it back again 4 times before 1876, the period of the expansion of Russia in the Kokand Khanates territories.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p>In 1865 Russia annexed Tashkent, the former possession of Kokand khanate. However, by that time the relations between the khan and his Ferghana people had become not satisfactory. He had to escape the country and to seek asylum in Russia. Soon after that, facing no strong resistance on the part of the local people, the Russian troops took Kokand and in 1876 Russia annexed the Kokand khanate.<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">\u00a0Later, the Khan escaped to Afghanistan with his family and his fortune.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-badecc4 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"badecc4\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9c41e62 elementor-widget elementor-widget-spacer\" data-id=\"9c41e62\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"spacer.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer-inner\"><\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-aa50b20 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"aa50b20\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">The Khan Palace <\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-66aeb4a elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"66aeb4a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">The palace building originally covered an area of 4 hectares, was 138 meters in length and 65 meters in width. The palace was constructed on a three-meter-high platform with a ramp leading to the main entrance and at the bottom of the ramp there were once cast-iron and copper cannons. On the right flank of the palace, there was a faceted minaret faced with ceramic tiles whose colors imitate Ferghana abr silk. The most stylish premises were the throne room and waiting room. Adjoining them were the treasury, depository and arsenal.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">Furthermore, there was also a unique hall where khan administered justice to his subjects.\u00a0One of the courtyards housed the harem for 40 concubines which means that nearly half of the palace was dedicated to housing his harem\u00a0which the Russians demolished in 1919.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8638e9a
