Excursión a Charvak Chimgan Highlights
Enjoy an exhilarating day trip from Tashkent to the picturesque duo of Chimgan and Charvak. A scenic drive through the Uzbek countryside takes you to the Beldersay and Chimgan mountains in the Ugam-Chatkal National Park, where the Amirsoy gondola carries you up for breathtaking panoramic views of the surroundings, weather permitting.
Then continue to the Charvak Reservoir, whose turquoise waters are framed by rugged mountains, with stops for mountain honey, dried fruits and local cheese on the way. A local lunch by the lake rounds off this day of Uzbekistan's natural beauty and fresh mountain air before you return to Tashkent in the evening.
Difficulty: Easy Una relajante excursión de un día en coche: aproximadamente 100 km (1,5-2 horas) desde Taskent hasta las montañas Chimgan y aproximadamente 2 horas de vuelta desde Charvak, con paseos cortos en las paradas para fotos y un viaje en teleférico hasta la montaña. Itinerario
08:00 Meet your guide in your hotel lobby or at another agreed meeting point in Tashkent. 08:30 Drive to the Beldersay and Chimgan mountains (about 100 km, 1.5–2 hours). On the way you see mountains, villages, rivers and canals, gardens and grazing animals, with photo stops at the best viewpoints. We also stop for about 10 minutes at a small roadside market where local women sell mountain fruits, dried fruits, local cheese, horse milk and other sweets and snacks. 10:30 In the Chimgan and Beldersay mountains, ride the Amirsoy gondola to the top for fantastic views of the surroundings and fresh mountain air (subject to the gondola operating on the day of your visit). 12:00 After coming down, drive on towards the Charvak Reservoir. On the way we stop at a honey maker's place to taste and buy healthy mountain honey. Approaching the lake, you see the unusual Pyramids hotels near the shoreline from above, followed by a photo session with the lake as a backdrop. 13:00–14:00 Lunch at a Bochka restaurant, where you can choose from fish dishes, barbecue, osh (plov), a special rice soup and other local and European food. We order two kinds of dishes according to your wishes. 16:00 End of the trip and drive back to Tashkent (arrival around 18:00).
