Vaping and importing of electronic cigarettes is illegal in Kyrgyzstan

Kyrgyzstan bans electronic cigarettes and vaping products

The purpose of this Law is to ensure the protection of the health and well-being of citizens from the use of electronic cigarettes with nicotine-containing liquid. The law prohibits the import, circulation and use of electronic cigarettes in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic. In addition, the Law provides for liability for violating the requirements on the prohibition of the use and sale of electronic cigarettes in accordance with the Code of the Kyrgyz Republic on Offenses. Thus, a fine of 115 US dollars is imposed for individuals smoking electronic cigarettes, and about 695 dollars for legal entities.

The fine for the sale of electronic cigarettes will be 230 dollars for individuals, and 750 dollars for legal entities. In addition, the import of electronic cigarettes is punishable by correctional labor from two months to one year or a fine of up to 1,390 dollars. At the same time, for the import of electronic cigarettes in large or especially large quantities, a fine of up to 2,300 dollars, or imprisonment for a term of one to two years is provided.

We instruct all our tourists not to bring any electronic cigarette products to Kyrgyzstan to avoid fines and confiscation or even more adverse consequences!
