Tez Jet lost aviation license

On July 7, 2026, a Tez Jet MD-83 operating a Bishkek–Osh flight suffered a landing gear failure during takeoff, causing the aircraft to tilt onto one wing. Fortunately, there were no fatalities reported. Kyrgyz authorities immediately grounded the airline while investigating the accident. During an unscheduled inspection, regulators said they found serious violations affecting flight safety beyond the accident itself. As a result, the regulator revoked Tez Jet’s operating license, stating that the identified violations posed unacceptable safety risks.

Tez Jet was one of the main airlines connecting Bishkek with cities such as Osh, Batken, Jalal-Abad, and Issyk-Kul. As a result, you will find fewer daily flights, longer waits, or higher fares while other airlines absorb demand, especially during the high season 2026. Consider allowing extra flexibility if your itinerary includes domestic flights within Kyrgyzstan, especially to or from Osh or Issyk-Kul.

If you were booked on Tez Jet, contact your travel provider regarding refunds. Based on unofficial sources, all Tez Jet flights until the foreseen future have been or should be considered as cancelled.
