Kyrgyzstan - Uzbekistan Tour Itinerary
Day 1. Almaty – Charyn Canyon – Saty Village
Distance: ~300 km | Driving time: 5–6 hours
We will pick you up from your Almaty hotel and head towards Charyn Canyon, often called the “Grand Canyon of Central Asia.” You will walk through the spectacular Valley of Castles, surrounded by towering red rock formations shaped by wind and time.
After exploring the canyon, we continue to the peaceful mountain village of Saty, nestled near beautiful alpine lakes.
Overnight: Cozy guesthouse in Saty.
Day 2. Saty – Kaindy Lake – Kolsai Lakes – Border Crossing – Karakol
Distance: ~300 km | Driving time: 6–7 hours (including border crossing)
In the morning, we visit the magical Kaindy Lake, famous for its submerged forest and crystal-clear turquoise water. We then explore the stunning Kolsai Lakes, known as the “Pearls of the Northern Tien Shan,” where you can enjoy an easy lakeside walk surrounded by pine forests and mountain views.
After lunch, we cross the Kazakhstan–Kyrgyzstan border and continue to Karakol near Issyk-Kul Lake.

Day 3. Karakol – Altyn Arashan – Hot Springs – Hiking
Distance: ~30 km by car + 17 km hiking | Driving time: 1.5 hours
Today is a true mountain adventure. We drive by Soviet UAZ vehicle up to the alpine valley of Altyn Arashan, famous for its untouched nature and snow-capped peaks.
You can relax in natural hot springs surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery. Later, we hike approximately 17 km downhill through forests and river valleys, enjoying fresh mountain air and breathtaking views.

Day 4. Karakol – Jeti-Oguz – Barskoon – Skazka Canyon – Bokonbaevo
Distance: ~160 km | Driving time: 4–5 hours
We begin the day at Jeti-Oguz, famous for the dramatic red rock formations known as the “Seven Bulls.” Next, we visit Barskoon Waterfall, hidden in a scenic mountain valley.
In the afternoon, we explore Skazka Canyon, also called Fairy Tale Canyon, with its colorful and unusual rock shapes. We then arrive in Bokonbaevo village near Issyk-Kul Lake.
Overnight: Guesthouse in Bokonbaevo.
Day 5. Bokonbaevo – Eagle Hunting – Song Kol Lake
Distance: ~280 km | Driving time: 5–6 hours
In the morning, we enjoy a traditional eagle hunting demonstration in Bokonbaevo — a powerful introduction to the ancient nomadic tradition of hunting with golden eagles. After the show, we drive high into the mountains toward the magnificent Song Kol Lake.
Located at 3,016 meters above sea level, Song Kol is one of the most beautiful alpine lakes in Kyrgyzstan. Tonight, we stay in traditional yurts surrounded by vast open landscapes and peaceful silence.
Overnight: Yurt camp at Song Kol.
Day 6. Full Day at Song Kol – Horse Riding Experience
Distance: ~10–15 km horse riding | Activity time: 4–5 hours
This day is dedicated to exploring Song Kol and experiencing authentic nomadic life. We enjoy horse riding across wide open pastures, following shepherd trails with breathtaking lake and mountain views. There will be free time to relax, take photos, or simply admire the incredible alpine scenery and peaceful atmosphere.
Overnight: Yurt camp at Song Kol.
Day 7. Song Kol – Burana Tower – Bishkek
Distance: ~320 km | Driving time: 6–7 hours
After breakfast, we drive toward Bishkek. On the way, we visit the historic Burana Tower, an 11th-century minaret from the ancient Silk Road city of Balasagun. We arrive in Bishkek in the evening and enjoy a special farewell dinner together the perfect ending to an unforgettable journey and check in to the Bishkek hotel. Hotel transfer, if your flight is at night or early morning
