TOUR HIGHLIGHTS
This immersive 6-day group tour takes you on an unforgettable adventure through Kyrgyzstan, where you’ll trace the legendary footsteps of the hero Manas and experience the rich traditions of the nomadic culture. You will learn the ancient crafts like shyrdak making and yurt assembly, as well as explore stunning landscapes, participate in traditional competitions, and hear captivating stories of Manas’ epic journey. This tour brings history to life as you walk in the steps of warriors, engage with local traditions, and experience Kyrgyzstan’s breathtaking beauty.
KYRGYZSTAN TOUR ITINERARY
In the morning, we gather at the meeting point and set off towards Karkyra.
Lunch can be arranged on spot (not included).
Upon arrival at the Ak-Sai camp in Karkyra, we accommodate and immerse ourselves in the traditions surrounding childbirth and early childhood.
Dinner will be served in a yurt camp, styled after the Tushoo Toy celebration, featuring a ceremonial cutting of the bonds (with small prizes for the participants).
Overnight in comfortable yurts.

A Day in Karkyra: An Introduction to Coming-of-Age Traditions (School Age). Demonstration of Equestrian Games and participation in “calm” games (Toguz Korgol, Alchiki). Traditional lunch and dinner at yurt camp. Overnight in comfortable yurts.

In the morning, after breakfast drive to the southern shore of Lake Issyk Kul.
Lunch can be arranged on spot (not included).
Upon arrival, we settle into a yurt camp, where we will be able to admire the artfully embroidered Tush Kiyiz – wall panos crafted by women in honor of their sons’ or daughters’ weddings. This day is dedicated to traditions associated with the commencement of married life: the Nike Toi (wedding), Kelin Aluu (the moving of the bride into the groom’s home), and Chach Ooru (the unbraiding of a girl’s braids and the braiding of two plaits for the bride).
In the evening, we will partake in the Nike Toi dinner, where a couple will be chosen from amongst the tourists to represent the bride and groom. Overnight in comfortable yurts.

After an eventful day in Karkyra, the journey continues to Karakol. Upon arrival, an exciting boat ride awaits, where you’ll hear the fascinating tale of how Manas drew his strength from Lake Issyk-Kul.
Following the boat ride, a warm welcome from a Manaschi, a traditional storyteller, will provide the opportunity to learn how to recite the epic “Manas” and discover its most important moments.

After breakfast, we transfer to one of the most picturesque locations in Kyrgyzstan, Lake Son-Kul.
A lunch can be arranged on spot (not included).
Today we explore the principles of nomadic life by taking part in a culinary master class called “Boorsok show”, where we will witness the preparation of traditional Kyrgyz bread.
In the evening, we will discuss the theme of the sunset of life and the essence of authentic Kyrgyz “ash” (meal to honor the memory of the deceased relative). Our night will be spent in yurts, embracing the spirit of the nomadic lifestyle.

After breakfast, we will drive back to the city of Bishkek. On this day, we immerse into the theme of ancestral remembrance.
Lunch & dinner can be arranged on spot (not included).
We will visit the Burana Tower, where you will find a remarkable collection of balbals—strange anthropomorphic stones dating back to the VI-X centuries. You will have the opportunity to explore both the tower itself and a small museum located nearby. Arrival to Bishkek.
