Seven lakes Tajikistan tour

NORTHERN TAJIKISTAN TOUR ITINERARY

In the morning departure from Samarkand to Tajikistan border and further the famed Seven Lakes, located in the Zarafshan Mountains of Tajikistan. This drive will introduce you to the beautiful, rugged terrain of the region. As you reach Haft Kul, or “Seven Lakes,” each with its own distinct color and character, immerse yourself in nature with guided walks along the lake shores, taking in crystal-clear waters, vibrant flora, and peaceful surroundings.

In the afternoon, drive to Panjakent, one of Central Asia’s oldest cities, rich in archaeological and cultural heritage. Overnight in the guesthouse.

After the breakfast departure to the scenic drive to Gazza Village in the morning, set deep in the Fann Mountains. Explore the nearby landscapes with gentle hikes or guided walks to see the village’s spectacular mountainous surroundings. Overnight in a village homestay for an authentic and memorable cultural immersion.

After breakfast, we will depart for the legendary Iskanderkul Lake, named after Alexander the Great, nestled high in the mountains. Upon arrival, explore the lake’s azure waters and surrounding peaks on a scenic hike, taking in the breathtaking views of one of Tajikistan’s most celebrated natural wonders. Overnight in a guesthouse by the lake.

We will continue journey from Iskanderkul to Khujand, one of Tajikistan’s oldest cities, known for its rich history and vibrant culture. Visit the Khujand Fortress, where the city’s ancient walls tell stories of battles and resilience. Next, explore Panjshanbe Bazaar, the city’s bustling heart, where locals sell everything from spices and textiles to fresh produce.  Evening at leisure to explore or enjoy a traditional Tajik dinner.

After breakfast, drive to Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, where ancient tradition meets modern vibrancy. Upon arrival, take a city tour to see Chorsu Bazaar, a lively market with handicrafts, fresh foods, and local artistry. Continue to Khast Imam Square, a center of Islamic scholarship with beautiful architecture. Conclude the day with a farewell dinner celebrating your journey through Central Asia. Overnight stay in Tashkent.
