FIVE STAN TOUR ITINERARY

Our representative will meet you at the International Airport of Ashgabat. Transfer to the Hotel. Rest time till lunch, Then you can explore Ashgabat city tour.

In 2013 the Guinness Book of Records named Ashgabat “white marbled city” – here you can see the biggest number of structures in the world made out of the white marble. You will see Presidential Palace, Ruhyyet Palace, Wedding Palace, modern “Yildyz” Hotel, Ferries Wheel, Constitution Monument, Arch of Neutrality, Monument and park of Independence, Ertogrul Gazy Mosque, Ashgabat Sports and Housing facilities, the Earthquake and victims of WWII Monuments. Overnight at the hotel.

 

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Mary on the way visit Seyit Jemaletdin Mosque. Among the small number of Timurid-era monuments on the territory of Turkmenistan, the mosque of Seyit Jemaletdin in Anau city. According to inscriptions on its facades and interior, it was built when Khoresm was ruled by Abu Kasim Baber Bahadurhan (1446-1457). Its construction was financed by his vizir, Muhammed Khudaiot, who chose a site near the grave of his father, Jemaletdin. The ancient settlement Abiverd is one of eight historical reserves of Turkmenistan along with Kunya-Urgench, Nissa, Merv, Dakhistan etc. The ruins of Abiverd are located between Ashgabat and Mary. 

Lunch in Tejen city in local yurt restaurant. Arrival to Mary, explore ancient Merv – “Queen of the world”, was one of the most important capitals of Islam along with Baghdad, Cairo and Damascus. Sightseeing of ancient Merv includes Greater Kyz Gala & Lesser Kyz Gala (VI-VII), Complex of Askhabs (VIII-XIV), Erk Gala (VI BC), Gyaur Gala (IV BC), Hoja Yusup Hamadani complex, Sultan Sanjar mausoleum, Muhamed Ibn Zeid mausoleum. Overnight at hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the farap border. Border formalities on both sides, then drive to Bukhara to follow your trip to Uzbekistan. Transfer to Bukhara. Accommodation and overnight

Sightseeing tour in Bukhara. Transfer to the railway station and departure to Samarkand (Train 761, 15.50-17.25). Accommodation and overnight.

Early morning transfer to Uzbekistan-Tajikistan border check point Oybek. Customs and passport control on Uzbekistan and Tajikistan side, cross the border, meet the Tajik local driver and drive to Khujand (1 hour). Sightseeing Khujand: 

Classical authors state Alexander of Macedon founded a Greek settlement near the site of today’s Khujand in 329 BC called the city of Alexandria Eschate (Ἀλεξάνδρεια Ἐσχάτη) or “Alexandria The Furthest” – modern Khujand. It would have formed a bastion for the Greek settlers against the Scythian tribes to the north of the Syr Darya, which the Greeks called the Jaxartes River. It became a major staging point on the northern Silk Road.

Museum of archeology and fortification- in the middle of northern part of the city there is fortress of 7-8th c.  The territory of the fortress-300x200m. The city was surrounded with wall. It was destroyed several times during different conquers and last reconstruction was in 18th c. The museum was found inside the fortress. Timurmalik fortress.Oriental Bazaar- the biggest bazaars of Central Asia is Payshanba bazaar, one of the interesting places in Khodjent attracting people with various sounds and tastes. Mosque and madrasah of Sheikh Muslehiddin,Ismail Samani square. Accommodation in the hotel. 

Breakfast. Transfer to Dushanbe. Accommodation in the hotel.

Breakfast. Sightseeing tour in Dushanbe including visit of famous Museum of National Antiquities, which opened in 2001. Featuring artefacts from Tajikistan’s Islamic and pre-Islamic history (Greek/Bactrian, Zoroastrian, Buddhist and Hindu), the museum shows that Tajikistan was an important crossroads in Central Asia. The centrepiece is the 14m reclining Buddha in Nirvana, a 1,400 year-old statue created by the same Kushan civilisation that made the Bamiyan Buddhas in Afghanistan. 

 Excursion to Hissor town (23 km from Dushanbe) to see ancient fortress of Hissor – one of the most precious historical sites of Tajikistan . Comfortably located near Dushanbe Hissor Fortress combines the traditional elements of power, trade and culture of the ancient Tajik nation. Visit Medrassah Kuhna (16th c) and Museum of Tajik Way of life there, 19c Medrassah nearby and mausoleum of Sufi saint Mahdumi Azam. Accommodation in the hotel

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport. Flight to Almaty (12:00-14:30). Meeting with the driver at the airport. Transfer to the hotel. 

City tour around the center of Almaty. Visit to Republic Square and Monument of Independence. Walk via old city center (today: Square Astana) to the 28 Panfilovtsev Park. Along the Avenue of memory obelisks with names of 28 fighters of the 1075th regiment of the 316th shooting division, accepted unequal battle with German tanks in the winter of 1941 are established during fight for Moscow), Zenkov Cathedral (monument of cult architecture of Christians in Kazakhstan). Moreover, you could visit the Museum of Musical Instruments, Abai Theater, Green Market.

Accommodation in the hotel. 

Breakfast. Transfer to Bishkek. Crossing the Kazakh/Kyrgyz border, Kordai. Chech-in in the hotel upon arrival. Free time. 

Breakfast. During the city tour, you will learn the history of both Bishkek and Kyrgyzstan, as part of the Great Silk Road, and the more recent Soviet Union, and get a glimpse of how it is shaping today. You will explore main sights such as the Ala-Too square, Historical Museum, White House, old square, as well as colorful Asian Osh Bazaar. The duration of the city tour is 4 hours. 

In the afternoon transfer to Ala-Archa (driving: 40 km (one way), 1 hour) is a Kyrgyz National Nature Park, it is one of the most famous Canyons in Kyrgyzstan. The average altitude of the Park is 2200 m. The highest point is the Semenov Tien-Shansky (4895 m). The total area of the Park is 19,5 thousand sq. km. Wildlife includes eagles, ibex, Marco Polo sheep, wolf, bear, lynx and boar.

During the excursion you will walk towards to the waterfall Ala-Archa. Duration of the walking is around 3 hours. Silent snow peaks will charm you with its powerful and beauty. Fresh air, crystal springs and smelling of herbs will give you pleasant minutes in your life. Transfer back to Bishkek late afternoon. Accommodation in the hotel.

Transfer to the airport, flight.
