Travel across the Fergana Valley, Central Asia, the southern Kyrgyz Republic, and Uzbekistan, where you’ll experience the atmosphere of ancient traditions and the stunning landscapes of both countries. Begin in Osh, visiting the scenic Papan Reservoir, Laglan Canyons, ancient cities of Osh and Uzgen, the walnut forests of Arslanbob, with its waterfalls and enchanting mountain lakes of the Sary-Chelek Reserve

The two-day horseback journey through the Sary-Chelek Reserve offers panoramic views, mountain lakes, fresh air, and the peace of untouched nature. In Uzbekistan, enjoy traditional hospitality, visit the Margilan Silk Factory, Rishtan’s pottery workshops, the Kokand Khanate Palace, and see the historic ruins of Ahsikent, an open-air museum destroyed by an earthquake in 1620, where archaeological excavations continue. During the tour, enjoy a variety of traditional dishes from both countries.

KYRGYZSTAN TOUR ITINERARY

Welcome to the ancient city of Osh, known as the “southern capital” of Kyrgyzstan. After arrival and transfer to the hotel, guests can take a short rest.

Start the tour with a visit to Suleiman-Too, a sacred mountain overlooking the city, offering breathtaking views of the valley. Visit the Suleiman-Too Museum, a unique collection of historical artifacts. In the evening, return to the hotel to rest before the adventure ahead.

After breakfast, cross the border into Uzbekistan to the city of Margilan, famous for its exquisite silk products.

Visit the “Margilan Silk” factory to learn about the silk-making process, with a tour, master class, and showroom visit. Head to Rishtan to tour the “Koron” ceramics workshop and showroom. After lunch, travel to the ancient city of Kokand for a tour that includes Urda Palace, Jami Mosque, the Dahmai Shahon mausoleum, and the center of Halva. Evening rest at the hotel.

After breakfast, travel to Ahsikent to visit the New Akhsikent Museum Complex. Explore an open-air museum with ancient artifacts, where a large mosque is under construction. Ahsikent, destroyed by a 1620 earthquake, is now an active archaeological site. Lunch.

Today promises a packed day, an early departure to Osh, crossing the border, with stops at Papan Reservoir and Laglan Canyons for a picnic. Return to Osh in the evening.

After breakfast, travel to the ancient city of Uzgen to visit a historic complex famous for its medieval mausoleums and minaret from the Karakhanid era.

Continue to the village of Arslanbob, famous for its walnut forests. Take a walk to the large waterfall and through Arslanbob’s walnut groves, inhaling the aroma of ancient trees. Dinner and overnight at a guesthouse surrounded by lush greenery.

Begin the day with a morning walk to Arslanbob’s smaller waterfall, one of the region’s most beloved natural sites. Then, transfer to the quiet village of Kara-Kamish, known for its warm hospitality. Enjoy dinner and overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 1: After breakfast, prepare for a two-day horseback trek. Choose horses and set off north into the Kara-Suu Gorge, crossing a mountain river on a wooden bridge. The narrow gorge opens to a scenic fir forest, a trail under a waterfall, and then a climb over a pass to Kara-Suu Lake (1800 m, 17 km, 4 hours). Enjoy lunch, relax at a mountain pasture, and camp overnight with dinner by the fire.

Day 2: Continue the trek, climbing a pass at 2446 meters, stopping by Iri-Kol Lake to rest and explore. Relax by the lake, soak up the quiet, and enjoy lunch before descending to Arkyt village. Conclude with dinner and an overnight stay at a guesthouse to recharge after the trek.

In the morning, visit Sary-Chelek’s largest high-altitude lake for a picnic before returning to Osh. Upon arrival, check into the hotel for relaxation or a final evening in the city, concluding the journey on a high note.
