Dive into the heart of Uzbekistan on this 9-day adventure packed with history, culture, and breathtaking scenery. Begin your journey in Tashkent, where ancient madrasahs meet modern landmarks and lively squares. Head to Samarkand to explore the legendary Registan Square, the awe-inspiring Gur-e Amir Mausoleum, and enjoy the colorful Navruz festivities.
Escape to the peaceful Hayat village in the Nuratau mountains, where you’ll experience local hospitality, stunning mountain views, and traditional ways of life. Here you will celebrate the Nooruz like Uzbeks and participate in master class on cooking traditional Uzbek bread. Next, uncover the timeless charm of Bukhara, visiting its iconic Ark Citadel and Po-i-Kalyan Complex. Cross the vast Kyzyl-Kum Desert to Khiva, a fairytale-like city with its beautifully preserved old town, Ichan Kala, and towering minarets.
Tour Itinerary
Arrival in Tashkent. Meet at the International airport and transfer to the hotel. Early check-in and rest. After breakfast start of the guided sightseeing tour around Tashkent.
Visit the following sites: Khast-Imam Square, Barak-Khan Madrasah, Kafal-al-Shashi Mausoleum, Kukeldash Madrasah; after lunch: Museum of Applied Arts, Independence Square, Amir Timur Square, Minor Mosque. Overnight at the hotel in Tashkent.
Breakfast at the hotel. Ride to Samarkand in premium service high-speed train Afrosiab (07:28-09:36).
Guided sightseeing tour in Samarkand on arrival: Gur-e Amir Mausoleum (Tamerlane’s sepulcher), Registan Square (Ulugbek Madrasah, Sher-Dor Madrasah, and Tilla-Qori Madrasah); after lunch: Bibi-Khanym Mosque, Shah-i-Zinda Necropolis. Overnight at the hotel.
Continuation of the sightseeing tour in Samarkand. Visit Ulugbek Observatory, Afrosiab museum and settlement, Saint Daniel’s tomb, Khujum carpet factory, Silk paper workshop and Siab Oriental bazaar. Watch and participate in Navruz celebrations. Return to the hotel and overnight in Samarkand.
After breakfast awe proceed to the region of Nuratau mountains and visit the local Hayat village, located in the most authentical part of Uzbekistan. On arrival – accommodation at the guesthouse of the local residents. Lunch with the family. After lunch time, we will have a walk around the neighborhood and to the village of Upper Khayat. En route admire the beautiful views of the green mountains of Nuratau.
Here we will get acquainted with the life of local residents, examine the ruins of the ancient village and its mill. In addition, it will be possible to visit the nursery of Severtsov’s sheep, a rare endemic subspecies listed in the Red Book.
Dinner at the guest house with a master class on cooking traditional Uzbek bread.
After breakfast we will have a little rest to memorize the beauty of the place and move further to Bukhara. On arrival in Bukhara – accommodation at the hotel and rest.
In the evening watch a lovely folklore show in Nodira Divan Begi madrassa.
Return to the hotel for overnight.
Breakfast at the hotel. Start of the sightseeing program in Bukhara upon arrival.
Visit of the following sites: Ismail Samani Mausoleum, Chashma Ayub Mausoleum, local bazaar, Bolo Khauz Mosque, Ark Citadel with Zindan prison, Po-i-Kalyan Complex (Kalyan Minaret and others), Miri Arab madrassa, Magoki Attori mosque and Mosque Ulugbek Madrasah. Return to the hotel. Rest and overnight.
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer across the Kyzyl-Kum Desert and along the Amudarya River to Khiva. Lunch en route. Arrival in Khiva. Leisure time. Visiting traditional workshops and souvenir shops. Overnight at the hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel. Guided sightseeing tour around Khiva: Ichan Kala (historical inner city), Pakhlavan Mahmud Complex, Kunya-Ark Fortress, Islam Hajji Madrasah & Minaret. After lunch: Tash Khauli Palace, Juma Mosque, Muhammad Aminkhan Minaret & Madrasah, and Avesta Museum.
Transfer to Urgench (35 km, 30 min). Evening flight to Tashkent. Meet at airport, transfer to the hotel, check-in and rest.
Breakfast at the hotel. Check out before 12:00.
Transfer to the International airport for departure.
