Kosh Dobo is a very far away village in Central Kyrgyzstan. It is badly connected to other regions of the country as it is behind a bad condition road pass to Fergana Valley and the other roads connecting to it are also small roads from Song Kul or Naryn through Kazarman. If you are looking for really off the beaten path destinations, Kosh Dobo is that for sure and offers unexplored sights like the great ruins of a Silk Road era caravanserai, amazing landscapes, mountain nature and amazing rural area graveyards.
The village has gotten its name from the large burial mound that is located in the center of it. The new road from Bishkek through the nearby area might make this location more available when the road construction proceeds.
